Sweet and Spicy Chicken Wings

We got the motivation to cook this dish ever since Dominos stopped making these in Delhi (or maybe entire India). We used to love their sauce-soaked chicken wings which served as a great starter to a pizza party. Here is the really easy recipe to make a fast-food favourite!

Ingredients

Chicken Wings (16 halved pieces)

Chinese Sweet Chilli Sauce: 1/2 cup
Chilli Garlic Sauce: 1 Tsp
Light Soya Sauce: 2 Tsp
Honey: 1 Tsp
Corn Flour: 1/2 Tsp
Salt to taste
Spring onions for garnishing

Method

1. Mix the cornflour in just 1 Tsp water to make a smooth mixture. Add this mixture along with all the sauces, honey, and just a pinch of salt to create a smooth marinade. This should not be very thick, and should more like a sauce

2. Add the chicken wings to coat the marinade properly. Refrigerate for 2 - 3 hours.

3. Before cooking, pre-heat the oven at 200C for about 10 minutes. Place all the chicken wings in a baking tray lined with butter paper/ aluminium foil. For all the marinade that is left in the bowl, pour that evenly over the wings so they are soaked in the marinade while baking.

4. Increase the oven temperature to 250o C and cook the wings for 7-8 minutes making sure you don't overdo them. Turn the wings mid-way through the baking cycle so they are crisp from both sides.

4. Sprinkle the chicken wings with spring onions and devour the tangy delight!

Tada! We were so happy with this because now we won't miss Dominos chicken wings ever with this easy recipe.

  2. Thanks for an easy and lovely recipe. Made them today and both kids loved them. My 12 year old said " I wouldn't have known they are home made if you hadn't told me ". :)
