Kolkata: From a foodie's eyes

This was the first visit to a city I had heard so much about growing up. I had tasted it's sweets and suparis numerous times but never had the first had experience. Dad used to travel extensively, and recounted multiple stories of its famed shops and the magnificent Park Street. From my experience, I'd say the city brings so much joy through its sweets, and doesn't disappoint with the food either.

Pièce de résistance - Bengali sweets
One of the most famous sweet shop
Mishti dahi (doi) - A bengali yogurt
The Sondesh's
Another bengali sweet haven
The Food
Puchkas - bengali pani puri or gol guppe

The glutton - with the famed Kathi Roll
Noodles and chilli chicken for breakfast? - bleh!
On the Palk Street
Flurys Kolkatta
The center of all attraction at Park Street - Spotted Leander Paes here
Not on the palk street - but a little-known north-eastern food place very near to park street
Please let me in
Royalty! - old and dilapidated but has the old-world charm

The wedding - The reason for visiting was good friend Avik Roy's wedding
