M&N's Veggie Burger

No one needs an introduction to burgers and there is not much to be said about it. This is just your classic veggie burger with a lot of goodness inside - oats and lots of veggies. Did we just make burger really healthy?

Ingredients (4 burgers)

For patty
2 boiled mashed potatoes
1 cup oats
1 onion chopped
2 cloves of garlic minced
1 carrot finely chopped
9-10 french beans finely chopped
4-5 babycorn finely chopped
1/2 cup boiled sweet corn
Oregano
Black Pepper
Chilly flakes
Salt

For assembly
1 red and yellow bell pepper - cut in rings
1 onion - cut in rings
Mayo
Siracha
Mustard Sauce
Pepper
Salt


Method

1. In a pan, heat oil. Add garlic and onion to it till translucent. Then add chopped carrots, beans, baby corn and sweet corns to it.

2. Mash boiled potatoes and mix it with veggies.

3. Add oats, oregano, salt, pepper, chilly flakes as per taste.



4. Make 4 big patties for burger.

5. Grill peppers and onion with salt and pepper seasoning and drops of oil in oven.

6. Shallow fry in non stick pan.



7. Apply slight butter on buns and cook them till crisp.

Assembly.
Apply mayo and sriracha on one bun and mustard on other bun.  Then put grilled peppers and onions on it. Top it with patty and then bun.

Enjoy with chilled beer on a hot afternoon.
