Shiro, Hotel Samrat (Review)

There are casual fast-food joints; there are fancy sit-down dining places; there are fancy clubs; and then there is Shiro. Shiro is a heady mix of food, with the quality of a fine-dining place, and the ambience and setting of a club. Decorated with large sculptures, it has a very interesting ambience for an Asian place. They have long a bar, seating tiered at two levels, and even a couple of Hibachi tables. And then at 11PM, they start removing tables from the dance area and start transitioning to house music. The place just transforms and the energy levels go high too.

We just loved our anniversary celebrations here, and would recommend it to someone in a heartbeat. Overall Rating: 4.5/5

Why we might go again: They simply have the best offer in town. For around Rs. 2,500 per head (including taxes) one can get unlimited food and domestic liquor for a period of 2 hours. And that is unlimited food so basically anything from the menu in any quantity for that time period. And those options do not let the quality of food go down. We loved the sushi and prawn appetizers here. The dimsums were delectable too.

Why we might not go again: It's really hard to find a reason why we may not but they do not have a good seating indoors if you go as a couple. Most of the seating is structured for larger groups and we ended up sitting outside. Not bad, but not ideal if the weather is too hot or too cold.

Final Word: Let's just summarize by this place is great if you go out wanting to have a good time while not compromising on your food. We can't wait to go here again.
