Mango Margarita

The king of fruits is back in business and so are we, after the navaratras. So to celebrate this confluence, we created a beautiful cocktail using ripe mangoes and tequila! - Let's call it the Mango Margarita!! Let's not waste any time talking about it and directly get to business. Here we go....

What you would need (for one glass)

60 ml Tequila
20 ml lime juice
Pulp of 1/2 medium sized mango
1 thin slice jalapeño
1 tbsp powdered sugar
Lots of ice

What you would need to do

1. Blend the mango pulp and jalapeño slice in a blender till a smooth paste is formed

2. Add the blended paste in a cocktail shaker filled with ice

3. Add the lime juice, tequila and sugar

4. Shake well for about 5 minutes so the ingredients blend well together

5. Prepare the serving glass - glaze half the rim with lemon juice and add salt. Half-salted rims give an option in case someone doesn't like the salt. Fill half the glass with crushed ice

6. Strain the mixture into the glass

7. Garnish with a slice a jalapeño and serve chilled!

Enjoy Amigos!

And now time for some drunk (sorry drink) photography!
